Ep. 15 - Living a plastic free life with Kate Nelson aka Plastic Free Mermaid

To celebrate the commencement of Plastic Free July 2020 we held an Instagram LIVE discussion with the queen of plastic free living, Kate Nelson aka @plasticfreemermaid

Kate is a waterwoman, activist, plastic science communicator and author of the new book 'I Quit Plastics'. In this fun and lively conversation Tim and Kate discuss the problems of plastic pollution in depth and the solutions that must be championed to create large scale changes. A firm believer in individual and community level actionism, Kate dives deep into her ten year journey living single-use plastic free and how she has used social media, her blog iquitplastics.com and now her new book to inspire and educate the masses.

Kate's dedication to education and providing practical solutions to plastic pollution has been instrumental in raising global awareness of the issue and supporting individual, community and systemic action.
