There are now three episodes live on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, with more being added shortly.
Episode 1 features an in-depth discussion with OIO co-founders Nick Chiarelli and Tim Silverwood about their individual motivations and aspirations for OIO, and is hosted by OIO Strategic Communications Advisor Josh Kirkman.
Episode 2 features a conversation between Tim Silverwood and The Seabin Project CEO Pete Ceglinski as they dive into the problem of plastic waste in our oceans and what Pete and the team are doing to deal with it. This interview took place before the successful crowdfunding campaign by Seabin that saw them raise $1.8million AUD!
Episode 3 is a discussion about entrepreneurship and sustainability between Tim Silverwood and Scott Gooding. Scott Gooding is an Australian chef and thought leader, encouraging and inspiring people to cook real food at home for them and their loved ones. Scott has published eight health books, is curator of The Good Place and is the founder of Reconditioned.Me, his online health program.
If audio isn’t your thing, we are pleased to offer all episodes of the podcast on YouTube too.
A Podcast Launch Event Like No Other
It probably goes without saying that at OIO, we do like to make an impact. So, when it came to The Ocean Impact Podcast, we didn’t hold back…
Every good radio show has a great musical intro, right? We thought so, and reached out to a rising star of Australian music, Billy Otto, to see if we could use one of his songs for our intro to the podcast. ‘Can’t Take the Ocean Out of Me’ is a song that certainly speaks to all of us here at Ocean Impact Organisation and we can’t thank Billy enough for providing us with rights to use the track.
But just using his music for the intro wasn’t enough, so we’re going live with him on our Instagram for a Friday afternoon virtual concert through Instagram to celebrate the launch of the podcast.
Crack open your favourite after-work drop and tune into our Instagram on Friday evening at 5pm Eastern Standard Time for a few live songs and a bit of a ‘fireside’ chat between Tim Silverwood and Billy Otto on us. It’s going to be a real good time.
