WATCH THE LIVE PITCHES: OIAP 2024 ON STAGE at INNOVOCEAN
We’re pleased to announce the successful completion of the inaugural Ocean Impact Accelerator Program (OIAP) 2024, congratulations to the five brilliant startups for completing the program and achieving this milestone.
Over the past 5-months, these five startups from Australia, New Zealand, and Chile participated in a virtual program that culminated with each startup travelling to Sydney, Australia to deliver a live 3-minute pitch to investors and gathered guests at OIO’s major INNOVOCEAN showcase event.
We are excited to share the recordings of the 3-minute pitches with you and to invite you to request information about their current fundraising opportunities if this is of interest.
This YouTube playlist includes all of the pitches recorded at INNOVOCEAN in Sydney (please also find each video below).

To remind you again of the five startups who completed the Ocean Impact Accelerator Program 2024, they are:
AQUIT | Viña del Mar, Chile: AQUIT creates disruptive biotech solutions that enhance fish immunity, improve survival rates, and replace antibiotics in aquaculture.
Blue Carbon | Brisbane, Australia: Blue Carbon helps legacy businesses partner with nature to boost energy efficiency, decarbonise, and cut their environmental footprint.
Ocean Intelligence | Nelson, New Zealand: Ocean Intelligence harnesses the power of data in aquaculture to promote productive and sustainable practices.
Pinpoint Earth | Nelson, New Zealand: Pinpoint Earth revolutionises seafood traceability and humanises the fishing process whilst enhancing operational efficiency, tackling illegal fishing, and improving safety at sea.
Washbox | Sydney, Australia: Washbox is a mobile, closed-loop tool wash system for construction trades that saves water and helps stop pollutants from entering waterways.
This year, Ocean Impact Organisation was a proud supporter of the UQ Ventures Industry Challenge, and so we invited the winning team – HexaRoot – to pitch at INNOVOCEAN too alongside our amazing accelerator program cohort.
HexaRoot | Queensland, Australia: Nadya Humaira Binte Affandy, Wan Qi Goh, and Khayil Matthew pitch their solution to address sedimentation issues in waterways: HexaRoot. Employing biomimicry of the natural pencil root of mangrove trees, HexaRoot aims to help physically filter sediment and hold it in place, provide a strong foundation for plant establishment, and avoid issues associated with current alternatives used in the field.
We hope you enjoy the pitches and reviewing opportunities to support these startups.
